3 seasons ago, I was provided the opportunity to take over the coordination of, what was then, “The Maryland Professional Sports Massage Therapy Team.” An incredibly talented group of therapists, each with their own set of unique skills and experience. I learn something from them at each and every event. It is because of these individuals, that we have evolved into Bodymason Performance Therapy. A true network of sports therapists, at your fingertips. It is my honor to be affiliated with this team of professionals.
As for my private practice... Structural Integrity Massage & Wellness is based in Howard County with offices in Columbia, MD. The practice services a wide range of clientele from Olympic Athletes to Pre-school teachers. Competitive Ironman to the occasional jogger. While we cater to the individual needs of every client, my passion is in Sports & Rehabilitative Massage Therapy. Through the use of numerous modalities such as Active Isolated Stretching, Muscle Energy Techniques and Joint Mobilization, to name a few, we develop treatment plans to help each individual achieve their goals and maximize their potential.
I believe it is difficult to treat athletes unless you have at least efforted to walk in their shoes. To that end, while I hardly consider myself competitive, I do partake in organized running, cycling and triathlon events. I have completed 4 olympic distance triathlons, 5 half-marathons and multiple century cycling events. In the 2014 season my plans include the Shamrock 1/2 Marathon, Baltimore Half Marathon & the Vegas Half Marathon.
